Item No. 17. 2023-0227 CONSIDER APPROVAL OF FORMS, AGREEMENTS\nAND RESOLUTION NO. 23-071 ALLOWING THE CITY\nOF CARSON TO PARTICIPATE IN ADDITIONAL\nNATIONAL OPIOID SETTLEMENTS WITH TEVA,\nALLERGAN, WALMART, WALGREENS AND CVS\n(CITY COUNCIL)\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. APPROVE Settlement Agreements and Participation Forms for\nthe City's participation in the National Opioid Settlement\nAgreements with Teva, Allergan, Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS.\n2. APPROVE the California State-Subdivision Agreements\nRegarding Distribution and Use of Settlement Funds relating to the\nNational Opioid Settlement Agreements with Teva, Allergan,\nWalmart, Walgreens, and CVS.\n3. ADOPT Resolution No. 23-071 approving and authorizing the\nCity Manager to carry out all necessary acts such that the City can\nparticipate in the National Opioid Settlements with Teva, Allergan,\nWalmart, Walgreens, and CVS, including signing necessary\ndocuments and transmittal thereof as necessary.\nAttachments: Settlement Participation Forms for the City’s participation in the National Opioid Settlements with Teva, Allergan, Walmart,\nProposed California State-Subdivision Agreements Regarding Distribution and Use of Settlement Funds in the Teva, Allerg\nResolution No. 23-071 approving and authorizing the City Manager to carry out all necessary acts such that the City can pa
