8. Proposed Use of the State of California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) 2025-2026\nSelective Traffic Enforcement Program Grant Funds (STEP)\nThe City Council will consider: (PD)\na. Authorizing utilization of the 2025-2026 Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (“STEP”) Grant\nFunds in the amount of $140,000 for overtime, equipment, and training expenses;\nb. Amending the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Law Enforcement Grants Fund Budget by appropriating\n$115,335 for overtime salaries, $21,912 for equipment, and $2,753.00 for training expenses; and\nc. Authorizing the Chief of Police to execute the STEP Grant Agreement in a form acceptable to\nthe City Attorney.
