(10) 23-0002-S23 RULES, ELECTIONS, AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to establishing the City's position in the 2023-24 State Legislative Program for Senate Bill (SB) 2 (Portantino), which expresses the intent of the California State Legislature to enact legislation to address the United States Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Park - Krekorian), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City’s 2023-2024 State Legislative Program, SUPPORT for SB 2 (Portantino) which expresses the intent of the California State Legislature to enact legislation to address the United States Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen.
