(17) 23-0074 CD 14 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program grant award from the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, for the Sixth Street Viaduct Park, Arts, River & Connectivity Improvements (PARC) Project. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AUTHORIZE the General Manager, Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), to accept the Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (Prop 68) grant award from the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation (State) in the total amount of $7,915,000 for the Sixth Street Viaduct PARC (PRJ21652)(E700235F) project, and execute the grant agreement in connection thereto in the form attached as Attachment No. 1 to the January 19, 2023 Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners (Board) report, attached to the Council file, subject to Mayor and City Council acceptance and approval in accordance with Los Angeles Administrative Code (LAAC) Section 14.6. AUTHORIZE the General Manager, RAP, to accept the Prop 68 grant award from the State in the amount of $585,000 for the Sixth Street Viaduct PARC project and execute the grant agreement in connection thereto in the form attached as Attachment No. 2 to the January 19, 2023, Board report, attached to the Council file, subject to Mayor and City Council acceptance and approval in accordance with LAAC Section 14.6. AUTHORIZE the Chief Accounting Employee, RAP, to establish the necessary account(s), and/or to appropriate funding received within “Recreation and Parks Grant” Fund No. 205 to accept the grant funds noted in the January 19, 2023 Board report, attached to the Council file, upon acceptance of such grant award funds by RAP after obtaining all necessary approvals. AUTHORIZE RAP staff to make necessary technical corrections to carry out the intent of the January 19, 2023 Board report, attached to the Council file. Fiscal Impact Statement: The Board reports there is no anticipated fiscal impact to RAP’s General Fund for the Sixth Street Viaduct PARC project from the acceptance of the Grants. The maintenance of the proposed new park project will be determined when the proposed new park is completed
