(17) 23-0368 PERSONNEL, AUDITS, AND HIRING COMMITTEE REPORT and ORDINANCE FIRST CONSIDERATION relative to amending the Los Angeles Administrative Code (LAAC) pertaining to Bereavement Leave, to comply with AB 1949 by removing the travel requirement for using two additional days of leave by nonrepresented employees.    Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE dated March 1, 2023, approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney, amending LAAC Section 4.127.1(d) pertaining to two additional days of Bereavement Leave for non-represented employees. AUTHORIZE the Controller and the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to correct any clerical errors, or, if approved by the City Attorney, any technical errors in the above Ordinance.
