(31) 18-0283 CD 11 ADMINISTRATIVE EXEMPTION and TRADE, TRAVEL, AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to approving a Change Order to Contract DA-5277 with LAX Integrated Express Solutions, LLC, to settle all delay-related Relief Event-Claims through December 8, 2022 and other claims, covering the Landside Access Modernization Program’s Automated People Mover Project at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Recommendations for Council action: ADOPT the determination by the Board of Airport Commissioners (Board) that the action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2(i) of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines. APPROVE a Change Order to Contract DA-5277 with LAX Integrated Express Solutions, LLC, covering the Landside Access Modernization Program’s Automated People Mover Project at LAX, to settle all delay-related Relief Event Claims through December 8, 2022, and direct costs for various Relief Event Claims pursuant to the terms outlined in the staff report, attached to the Council file, and made part of Board Resolution 27693. CONCUR with said Board’s action on March 2, 2023, by Board Resolution No. 27693, authorizing the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, Los Angeles World Airports, to execute said Change Order to Contract DA-5277 with LAX Integrated Express Solutions, LLC.
