(7) 20-0769-S5 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the City’s Unarmed Crisis Response Programs. Recommendations for Council action: INSTRUCT the Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA), with the assistance of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and City Administrative Officer (CAO), to report to Council on how the four LAFD teams referenced in the CLA report dated April 5, 2023, attached to Council file No. 20-0769-S5, could be consolidated into one team; and the City staffing needs, and possibly the County of Los Angeles needs, to expand Citywide. INSTRUCT the CLA, with the assistance of Los Angeles Police Department and CAO, to consolidate with Council file No. 23-0056.
