(5) 23-0846 TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to requesting for an Ordinance to ban cashless retail businesses in Los Angeles. Recommendation for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Hutt – Hernandez – Soto-Martínez – Yaroslavsky): INSTRUCT the Chief Legislative Analyst, with the assistance of the City Attorney, to prepare a report summarizing cashless prohibitions in other jurisdictions, best practices and identifying policy recommendations for the implementation of a similar policy in Los Angeles.
