(19) 23-1070 RESOLUTION (KREKORIAN - HUTT) relative to the City’s position regarding the Southern California Regional Authority's Sustainable Locomotives: Redressing Historic Harms Along Legacy Railroad Tracks Project grant application for funding through the United States State Department of Transportation's (USDOT) Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Program. Recommendation for Council action: RESOLVE that the City of Los Angeles SUPPORTS the Southern California Regional Authority's Sustainable Locomotives: Redressing Historic Harms Along Legacy Railroad Tracks Project grant application for funding through the USDOT's Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Program, and encourages USDOT to partner with the State and the regions in a collective effort to transform and modernize passenger rail service through the award of this grant.
