(8) 23-0916 PUBLIC WORKS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEES’ REPORT relative to streamlining, accelerating and reducing wait times for the design, construction, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Hutt – Park – McOsker): INSTRUCT the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, with the assistance of the Bureau of Engineering, Bureau of Street Lighting, and Personnel Department, to report to the Transportation Committee in 60 days on recommendations and best practices that will streamline, accelerate and reduce wait times for the design, construction, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, including, but not limited to budget, personnel hiring/retention, materials, reducing the number of steps involved in the approval process, providing clear guidance to the public, and equipment recommendations. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
