(34) 23-1202 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CAO) relative to a proposed agreement for the acceptance of 2023 Dodgers DREAMTEAM Program grant funds and in-kind contributions of uniforms, equipment, training, and other items from the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AUTHORIZE the President and Secretary, Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners, to execute a proposed agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to accept and receive the 2023 Dodgers DREAMTEAM Program Grant award of $156,180 and in-kind contributions of uniforms, equipment, training, and other items; and, THANK the donor for this generous donation. AUTHORIZE the Chief Accounting Employee, Department of Recreation and Parks, or designee, to establish the necessary account to appropriate the funding received within Fund No. 205 – Recreation and Parks Grant, and to make any technical corrections as necessary to carry out the intent of the CAO report dated August 29, 2023, attached to the Council file. Fiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that the recommended actions do not result in an additional impact to the General Fund. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO further reports that the recommended actions comply with the City’s Financial Policies in that the grant project will be fully supported by existing budgetary appropriations and grant funds.
