(8) 18-0875-S1 CD 15 TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the maintenance and operation plans for the City of Los Angeles Waterfront’s recreational public spaces. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (McOsker - Yaroslavsky): REQUEST the Port of Los Angeles to report to the Trade, Travel and Tourism Committee on the maintenance and operation plans for the LA Waterfront recreationally used public spaces. This report should include the following information: The personnel levels currently deployed for public space maintenance and the annual fiscal cost of personnel to service at the LA Waterfront. The forecasted changes in personnel levels needed once the Wilmington Waterfront Promenade Project is completed and the associated annual fiscal cost related to personnel changes for these additional services at the LA Waterfront. Additional information on how the Port’s Construction & Maintenance Division chooses to deploy personnel to the public spaces at the LA Waterfront. Additional information on how the Port’s Construction & Maintenance Division actively responds to immediate needs. This should include how personnel attempt to capture feedback from the local community for maintenance at the LA Waterfront. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the Chief Legislative Analyst nor the City Administrative Officer has completed a financial analysis of this report.
