(3) 23-1349 CD 14 HEARING COMMENTS relative to an Application for Determination of Public Convenience or Necessity for the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption at The Mermaid, located at 428 East 2nd Street (400 - 426 and 434 - 464 East 2nd Street, 200 - 210 South Central Avenue). Recommendations for Council action: DETERMINE that the issuance of a liquor license at The Mermaid, located at 428 East 2nd Street (400 - 426 and 434 - 464 East 2nd Street, 200 - 210 South Central Avenue), will serve the Public Convenience or Necessity and will not tend to create a law enforcement problem. GRANT the Application for Determination of Public Convenience or Necessity for the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption at The Mermaid, located at 428 East 2nd Street (400 - 426 and 434 - 464 East 2nd Street, 200 - 210 South Central Avenue).  INSTRUCT the City Clerk to transmit this determination to the State Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as required findings under Business and Professions Code Section 23958.4.
