(4) 23-1408 CDs 3, 4, 6 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to acceptance of an Economic Development Initiative/Community Project Funding (EDI/CPF) grant in connection with park ballfield improvements and upgrades at various City parks. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AUTHORIZE the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) to submit the Application for Federal Assistance and related Grant Award Package forms to secure $4 million for the “Park Ballfield Improvements and Upgrades at Various LA City Parks Facilities” (Project) to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 EDI/CPF. AUTHORIZE the General Manager, RAP to accept the Grant funds for the Project and execute the Grant agreement. Fiscal Impact Statement: The Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners (Board) reports that there is no anticipated fiscal impact to RAP’s General Fund by executing the FY 2023 EDI/CPF Grant agreement. Prior to any construction, and at the time the Project detail is presented to the Board, if additional funding is required to complete the Project, a reassessment of any potential impact on the General Fund will be conducted and presented.
