(6) 21-0691 TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to requesting authority to reprogram American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to implement the Business Assistance Programs. Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: APPROVE Recommendations 1 through 9 as detailed in the Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) report dated January 19, 2024, attached to Council file No. 21-0691. INSTRUCT the EWDD and City Administrative Officer to report on the status of ARPA encumbrances by July 1, 2024. Fiscal Impact Statement: The EWDD reports that the recommendations in the report will have no negative impact on the City’s General Fund, as all proposed programs will be funded with ARPA funds being reprogrammed from the allocation to the Small Business Rental Assistance Program currently in EWDD’s ARPA Business Assistance Programs Fund.
