(16) 240132 CONSIDERATION OF MOTION (SOTOMARTINEZ – RODRIGUEZ) Friday - April amending Council 12, 2024 action - of March PAGE 15, 2024 concerning 22 Rights, the Civil Equity, Immigration, Aging and Disability Committee Report relative to the (LAST DAY FOR COUNCIL ACTION APRIL 17, 2024) Items for which Public Hearings Have Not Been Held (10 Votes Required for Consideration) (16) 240132 CONSIDERATION OF MOTION (SOTOMARTINEZ – RODRIGUEZ) amending Council action of March 15, 2024 concerning the Civil Rights, Equity, Immigration, Aging and Disability Committee Report relative to the acceptance of a grant award from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety for the Child Passenger Safety Program and for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program, and related matters (Council file No. 240132). Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AMEND the Council action of March 15, 2024 concerning the Civil Rights, Equity, Immigration, Aging and Disability Committee Report relative to the acceptance of a grant award from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety for the Child Passenger Safety Program and for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program, and related matters (Council File No. 24 0132) to add the following recommendation: 4. That the Mayor authorize the General Manager, Community Investment for Families Department (CIFD), or designee, to negotiate and execute Professional Services Agreements with three FamilySource Center agencies for the contract amounts listed in the Motion (SotoMartinez – Rodriguez), to provide pedestrian and bicycle safety education and outreach and to distribute related safety equipment and supplies, for a oneyear contract term retroactive to October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, in substantial conformance to the draft agreement as found in the City Administrative Officer report dated January 11, 2024, attached to the Council file, subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney as to form, and compliance with the City’s contracting requirements.
