(26) 240412 CD 11 CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION and TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to approval of certain 14 amendments to the InTerminals Concession Agreements with Areas USA LAX, LLC; Crews Hospitality, LLC; DN/Dakota JME, Host International, Inc., and Hudson Group covering concessions in Terminals 4, 5, 7, and 8 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Recommendations for Council action: 1. ADOPT the determination by the Board of Airport Commissioners (Board) that the proposed action is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article III, Class 1(18)(c) of the City of Los Angeles CEQA Guidelines. 2. APPROVE the Amendments to certain 14 InTerminal Concession Agreements with Areas USA LAX, LLC; Crews Hospitality, LLC; DN/Dakota JME, Host International, Inc., and Hudson Group, to extend their respective terms thru June 30, 2029 and require certain refurbishments be completed within the first year of the extended term, covering concessions in Terminals 4, 5, 7, and 8 at LAX. 3. CONCUR with the Board’s action on March 21, 2024, by Resolution 27925, authorizing the Chief Executive Officer, Los Angeles World Airports, or designee, to execute said Amendments to certain In Terminal Concession Agreements with Areas USA LAX, LLC, Crews Hospitality, LLC, DN/Dakota JME, Host International, Inc., and Hudson Group. Fiscal Impact Statement: The Board reports that approval of the proposed amendments will generate estimated gross revenues of $160 million over the extended term.
