(29) 24­0403 CD 8 TRADE, TRAVEL AND TOURISM COMMITTEE REPORT relative to authorizing the Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of the Lanzit Industrial Site located at 10901 South Clovis Avenue and authority to seek an exemption to the Surplus Land Act for the Lanzit Industrial Site from the State Department of Housing and Community Development. Recommendations for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Harris­Dawson – McOsker): 1. AUTHORIZE the EWDD to release an RFP for the development of the Lanzit Industrial Site located at 10901 South Clovis Avenue in Southeast Los Angeles for uses allowable under the M­1 Light Industrial zoning designation with the express goal of meeting the required Community Development Block Grant Job Creation National Objective. 2. AUTHORIZE the EWDD to seek an exemption to the Surplus Land Act for the Lanzit Industrial Site from the State Department of Housing and Community Development. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
