City of Los Friday Angeles, et al. - April 26, 2024 - PAGE 53 instructions, in order to effectuate the intent of this Motion, and including any corrections and changes to fund or account numbers; said corrections /clarifications / changes may be made orally, electronically or by any other means. (52) 20­0263­S1 MOTION (KREKORIAN ­ BLUMENFIELD) relative to funding for the settlement of the matter of LA Alliance for Human Rights, et al. v. City of Los Angeles, et al. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney to expend up to $725,000 in settlement of the matter of LA Alliance for Human Rights, et al. v. City of Los Angeles, et al. 2. T R A N S F E R $ 7 2 5 , 0 0 0 f r o m t h e R e s e r v e F u n d t o t h e Unappropriated Balance Fund No. 100/58, and APPROPRIATE therefrom to the Liability Claims Fund No. 100/59, Account No. 009798 (Miscellaneous Liability Payouts); and, AUTHORIZE the City Attorney to draw a demand therefrom in the amount of $725,000 from therefrom to pay the firm of Umhofer, Mitchell & King. 3. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney to make any technical adjustments to the above fund transfer instructions in order to effectuate the intent of this Motion.
