(18) 23­0002­S120 CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION (McOSKER for YAROSLAVSKY – BLUMENFIELD) relative to including in the City's 2023­24 State Legislative Program support for Assembly Bill 3233 (Addis) which affirms the right of cities and counties to implement regulations, limits, or prohibitions on oil and gas production in their jurisdictions including the technique of extraction. Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City's 2023­24 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for Assembly Bill 3233 (Addis) which affirms the right of cities and counties to implement regulations, limits, or prohibitions on oil and gas production in their jurisdictions including the technique of extraction, thereby protecting public health, safety and environmental quality and advancing the State’s climate goals of reducing and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.
