(2) 24­0367 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the proposed agreement with Los Angeles Conservation Corps, Inc. (LACC) to provide tree planting and landscaping services for the City's Proposition 68 grant­funded projects. Recommendation for Council action: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the President and Secretary, Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners (Board), to execute the proposed agreement detailed in the March 29, 2024 City Administrative Officer (CAO) report, attached to the Council file, between the Department of Recreation and Parks and LACC to provide tree planting and landscaping services on the City’s Proposition 68­funded projects, for a term to expire on June 30, 2028 and with no maximum compensation ceiling, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form. Fiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that there is no immediate General Fund impact. Grant funds are to be utilized for the performance of the services described in the agreement. Financial Policies Statement: T h e C A O f u r t h e r r e p o r t s t h a t t h e recommendation in the report is in compliance with the City’s Financial Statement to the extent that the City has pursued grants and consideration of the ongoing cost of maintaining the park improvements shall be made through the City’s annual budgetary process.
