(15) 23­1190 CD 14 CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION, COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ENGINEER and ORDINANCE FIRST CONSIDERATION relative to the quitclaim of the 7­foot storm drain easement lying on 4466 East Florizel Street ­ Right of Way No. 36000­2252, Revised Report (Quitclaim). Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. RESCIND the previously adopted Bureau of Engineering (BOE) report, dated October 23, 2023, under Council file No. 23­1190, attached to the Council file. Tuesday - May 7, 2024 - PAGE 10 quitclaim of the 7­foot storm drain easement lying on 4466 East Florizel Street ­ Right of Way No. 36000­2252, Revised Report (Quitclaim). Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. RESCIND the previously adopted Bureau of Engineering (BOE) report, dated October 23, 2023, under Council file No. 23­1190, attached to the Council file. 2. FIND that the Quitclaim is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 pursuant to Article III, Class 5(4) of the City's Environmental Guidelines. 3. APPROVE the petitioner’s request for the quitclaim of the 7­foot storm drain easement lying on 4466 East Florizel Street, as shown on the Exhibit Map on the April 26, 2024 City Engineer report, attached to the Council file, subject to the following condition: That the petitioners make satisfactory arrangement with the Real Estate Division of the BOE with respect to the payment of any document recording fees. 4. P R E S E N T a n d A D O P T t h e a c c o m p a n y i n g A M E N D E D ORDINANCE, dated April 26, 2024, authorizing the Quitclaim, which has been approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney. 5. INSTRUCT the Real Estate Division of the BOE to record and deliver the necessary quitclaim deed(s) to the persons legally entitled thereto. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Engineer reports that a fee of $7,075.91 was paid for processing this request pursuant to Section 7.40 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code.
