(6) 240293 HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to instructing the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to report on the total amount of investments the City made on homeless programs and services related to Project Roomkey during COVID19, that the City anticipated would be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Recommendations for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Rodriguez Blumenfield): 1. INSTRUCT the CAO to report to Council on the total amount of investments the City made on homeless programs and services related to Project Roomkey during COVID19, including Reserve Fund loans, that the City anticipated would be reimbursed by FEMA; and, include the amount that has already been reimbursed by FEMA and the reimbursement amount the City is awaiting and any shortfalls between the two amounts. 2. INSTRUCT the CAO to report to Council on how the lack of reimbursement could affect the future City budget if the City does not receive the full anticipated reimbursement amount. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the CAO nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report
