(15) 21­0859­S2 CD 9 GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to directing the Department of General Services (GSD), in consultation with the City Attorney and City Engineer, to take the actions needed to sell/ transfer the City's interest in the Vacation Area of Chick Hearn Court, between South Figueroa and Georgia Street. Recommendations for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Price ­ Lee): 1. DECLARE the Vacation Area of Chick Hearn Court between South Figueroa and Georgia Street as “surplus land.” 2. DIRECT the GSD in consultation with the City Attorney and the City Engineer, to take the actions needed to sell / transfer the City’s interest in the Vacation Area with the understanding that the method of transfer shall be by way of a direct sale based on a valuation report prepared by the City. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report. 2. DIRECT the GSD in consultation with the City Attorney and the City Engineer, to take the actions needed to sell / transfer the City’s interest in the Vacation Area with the understanding that the method of transfer shall be by way of a direct sale based on a valuation report prepared by the City.
