(5) 23­0002­S126 RULES, ELECTIONS, AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to including in the City’s 2023­24 Federal Legislative Program support for HR 6093 (Lucas), the Weather Act Reauthorization Act of 2023, which would help the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to facilitate better coordination with other agencies. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Yaroslavsky – Raman), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to include in the City’s 2023­24 Federal Legislative Program SUPPORT for HR 6093 (Lucas), the Weather Act Reauthorization Act of 2023, which would help the LADWP facilitate better coordination with other agencies by aligning efforts and resources while enhancing data­ Wednesday sharing to better plan - May 29,for the -impacts of atmospheric PAGE 2024 rivers 7and other significant weather events that are becoming more frequent.
