Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: APPROVE the accompanying RESOLUTION, attached to the Chief Legislative Analyst (CLA) report dated March 22, 2024, attached to the Council file, recommending legislative positions for the City’s 2023­24 Federal Legislative Program, as submitted by the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System (LACERS), to support or sponsor legislation related to the repeal of the WEP and GPO and/or to provide an alternative benefits formula for employment not covered by Social Security. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the CLA. The City Administrative Officer has not completed a financial analysis of this report.
