(56) 19­1213 MOTION (HERNANDEZ ­ KREKORIAN) relative to requesting the City Attorney to expedite delivery of the ordinance described in Council file No. (CF) 19­1213 to provide the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) exclusive authority over the provision of digital infrastructure that Tuesday regulates traffic,- and Julyrelated 30, 2024 - matters. PAGE 51 3. AUTHORIZE the Office of Community Beautification to make any technical changes in order to effectuate the intent of this Motion. (56) 19­1213 MOTION (HERNANDEZ ­ KREKORIAN) relative to requesting the City Attorney to expedite delivery of the ordinance described in Council file No. (CF) 19­1213 to provide the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) exclusive authority over the provision of digital infrastructure that regulates traffic, and related matters. Recommendations for Council action: 1. REQUEST the City Attorney to expedite delivery of the ordinance described in CF 19­1213 that would amend the Los Angeles Municipal Code to provide that the LADOT has the exclusive authority over the provision of digital infrastructure that regulates traffic; and, to expressly prohibit the addition, deletion or other modification of digital traffic control by other entities. 2. REQUEST the City Attorney to ensure that the ordinance described in CF 19­1213 outlines that digital applications and digital infrastructure are not able to route vehicular traffic in a way that is inconsistent with official City street designations.
