(64) 21­0391 CD 15 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CAO) relative to the proposed First Amendment to Contract No. C­143524 between the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services and Community Animal Medicine Project, Inc., formerly Spay Neuter Project of Los Angeles, for the operation of the Harbor Animal Services Center on­site spay and neuter clinic in Council District 15. Recommendation for Council action: AUTHORIZE the General Manager, Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, or designee, to execute the First Amendment to Contract No. 143524 with Community Animal Medicine Project, Inc., formerly Spay Neuter Project of Los Angeles, to operate the Harbor Animal Services Center spay and neuter clinic from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for an amount not to exceed $350,000. Fiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that approval of the recommended action will have no additional impact on the General Fund. All spay and neuter service costs are funded through the Animal Sterilization Trust Fund and sufficient funding for this purpose is available therein. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommended Center spay and neuter clinic from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for an amount not to exceed $350,000. Fiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that approval of the recommended action will have no additional impact on the General Fund. All spay and neuter service costs are funded through the Animal Sterilization Trust Fund and sufficient funding for this purpose is available therein. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommended action is in compliance with the City's Financial Policies in that budgeted funds are used for intended purposes, and ongoing revenues are used for ongoing expenditures.
