(15) 24­0789 CD 15 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to authorizing the Bureau of Engineering to take the necessary actions to extend the deadline for the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) Jordan Downs Lighting Project located at 4901 South Marionwood Drive in Council District 15. Recommendations for Council action: 1. APPROVE the HACLA’s request to extend the deadline for completion of design and construction for the Jordan Downs Central Park Net Zero Energy project, located at 4901 South Marionwood Drive, Los Angeles, 90230, from June 31, 2028, provided construction on such project commences no necessary actions to extend the deadline for the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) Jordan Downs Lighting Project located at 4901 South Marionwood Drive in Council District 15. Recommendations for Council action: 1. APPROVE the HACLA’s request to extend the deadline for completion of design and construction for the Jordan Downs Central Park Net Zero Energy project, located at 4901 South Marionwood Drive, Los Angeles, California 90230, from June 26, 2022 to May 31, 2028, provided construction on such project commences no later than June 1, 2026. 2. AUTHORIZE the City Engineer to negotiate and execute Amendment No. 1 to Proposition K Grant Agreement No. C­ 133388, to extend the completion of the design and construction deadline to May 2028, in the form substantially as set forth in Attachment 7 of the July 1, 2024 Proposition K ­ L.A. For Kids Steering Committee report, attached to the Council file. Fiscal Impact Statement: The L.A. For Kids Steering Committee reports that there is no additional impact to the General Fund as the recommendations are funded by Special Fund monies.
