(17) 24­0708 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a full audit of all existing free, publicly accessible bathrooms, water fountains, and hydration stations under the jurisdiction of the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) and the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL), and related matters. Recommendation for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Hernandez ­ Yaroslavsky): DIRECT the RAP, LAPL, and the Chief Heat Officer to report to Council within 30 days with a full audit of all existing free, publicly accessible bathrooms, water fountains, and hydration stations under their jurisdiction, including but not limited to the following: a. Location of each bathroom/water fountain/hydration station, including facility name, address, and Council District. b. Operational status of each bathroom/water fountain/hydration station. c. Cost and timeline estimate for restoration of each bathroom/water fountain/hydration station that is not currently operational/in service. d. Hours during which each bathroom/water fountain/hydration station is open and/or accessible. e. Cleaning and maintenance protocol for bathrooms/water fountains/hydration stations. f. Recommendations to improve quantity and quality of bathroom and water services. g. For each bathroom location, audit the number of toilets, urinals, sinks, spigots, and showers present at each location.
