(26) 230736 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT and BUDGET, FINANCE AND INNOVATION COMMITTEES’ REPORT relative to City facilities that could stock and distribute Naloxone, and a report on City departments that could contract with service providers to provide Naloxone training for the public as part of their programming, and related matters. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Hernandez Blumenfield): INSTRUCT the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to: a. Report to Council within 30 days on City facilities, including but not Wednesday limited -to August those28, 2024 - or contracted for PAGE operated 26 by the operation Department of Recreation and Parks, Community Investment for facilities that could stock and distribute Naloxone, and a report on City departments that could contract with service providers to provide Naloxone training for the public as part of their programming, and related matters. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Hernandez Blumenfield): INSTRUCT the City Administrative Officer (CAO) to: a. Report to Council within 30 days on City facilities, including but not limited to those operated or contracted for operation by the Department of Recreation and Parks, Community Investment for Families Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, Economic and Workforce Development Department, Los Angeles Public Library, and the Youth Development Department, that could stock Naloxone and distribute it to the public. b. Report to Council within 30 days on City departments that could contract with service providers to provide Naloxone training for the public as part of their programming. c. Identify existing City monies as well as County, State, and Federal grant opportunities to fund the abovedescribed programs. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the CAO nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
