(8) 23­1072 ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to strengthening the City’s water conservation efforts for residential, industrial, and commercial uses; recommendations for the process and timing of code changes or ordinances, and related matters. Recommendation for Council action: REQUEST the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to undertake a refresh of the Water Conservation Potential Study, and report to Council on a timeline for doing so; the report would include study on stronger water efficiency building codes if appropriate, and the use of community based organizations for direct install programs. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
