(3) 16­1468­S2 CDs 1,13, 14 PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to amending the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 12.22 (Exceptions), to repeal the exceptions located within the Northeast Los Angeles Community Plan or Silver Lake – Echo Park – Elysian Valley Community Plan Area; and related matters. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Hernandez – Soto­Martinez): INSTRUCT the Department of City Planning, in consultation with the City Attorney, to prepare and present an ordinance to amend LAMC Section 12.22 (Exceptions) to repeal the exceptions located within the Northeast Los Angeles Community Plan or Silver Lake – Echo Park – Elysian Valley Community Plan Area found in Section 33 (Accessory Dwelling Units and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units), Subsection 4(i) to ensure that all Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones hillside neighborhoods across the City can equally benefit from fire prevention and safety measures. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
