(23) 240050 PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT (PLUM) COMMITTEE REPORT relative to initiating amendments for consideration by the Citywide Planning Commission that would amend Article V, Chapter X of the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) to regulate onsite retail commercial cannabis activity to add nuisance abatement properties, as adjudicated under Sections 12.27.1 and 91.9001 et. al. of the LAMC to the list of sensitive uses; and related matters. Recommendations for Council action, as initiated by Motion (Hutt Rodriguez): 1. INSTRUCT the Department of City Planning (DCP), with the assistance of the Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR), to initiate amendments for consideration by the Citywide Planning Commission that would amend Article V, Chapter X of the LAMC relative to regulating onsite retail commercial cannabis activity to add nuisance abatement properties, as adjudicated under Sections 12.27.1 and 91.9001 et. al. of the LAMC to the list of sensitive uses. 2. INSTRUCT the Department of City Planning (DCP), with the assistance of the Department of Cannabis Regulation (DCR), to initiate amendments for consideration by the Citywide Planning Commission that would amend Article V, Chapter X of the LAMC relative to regulating onsite retail commercial cannabis activity to add nuisance abatement properties, as adjudicated under Sections 12.27.1 and 91.9001 et. al. of the LAMC to the list of sensitive uses. 2. INSTRUCT the DCP, with the assistance of the DCR, to initiate amendments for consideration by the Citywide Planning Commission that would amend Article V, Chapter X of the LAMC relative to regulating commercial cannabis activity to ban the use of nuisance abatement properties for onsite retail commercial cannabis activity. 3. INSTRUCT the DCP, with the assistance of the DCR, to report back to the PLUM Committee with a list and map of nuisanceabated properties in the City of Los Angeles that would be affected by the proposed ordinance. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
