(17) 220160S1 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to executing the First Amendment to Contract No. C140136 with Quartech Corrections, LLC, to continue providing maintenance, support, and upgrade of the Training Evaluation and Management System (TEAMS II/III) for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). - October 15, 2024 - Fiscal Impact Statement: Not applicable Community Impact Statement: None submitted (17) 220160S1 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to executing the First Amendment to Contract No. C140136 with Quartech Corrections, LLC, to continue providing maintenance, support, and upgrade of the Training Evaluation and Management System (TEAMS II/III) for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Recommendation for Council action: AUTHORIZE the Chief of Police, LAPD, or designee, to execute a First Amendment to Contract No. C140136 with Quartech Corrections, LLC, to continue providing maintenance, support, and upgrade of the TEAMS II/III for the LAPD. The proposed Amendment extends the terms by three years from September 30, 2024 through September 30, 2027, for a cumulative term of six years from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2027; and, increases the contract amount by $3,000,000 for a total cumulative compensation of up to $6,000,000. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO) reports that approval of the First Amendment to Contract No. C140136 between the City and Quartech Corrections, LLC dba Quartech Solutions, will have no additional impact on the General Fund. Funding for the proposed contract is available in the LAPD’s Contractual Services account as part of the 202425 Adopted Budget. Subsequent year funding will be subject to consideration during the budget development process. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommendation stated in the report complies with the City Financial Policies in that contract expenditures will be limited to the use of approved budgeted funds.
