(33) 24­1143 CD 14 CONTINUED CONSIDERATION OF MOTION (DE LEON – PADILLA) relative to the purchase­and­sale agreement on behalf of the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) for the 0.31­acre lot located at 1051 South Grand Avenue, Assessor’s Parcel No. 5139­008­001 (Property), for the development of a public park. Recommendations for Council action: 1.  DIRECT the Department of General Services (GSD), with the assistance of the RAP and the City Attorney, to negotiate a purchase­and­sale agreement on behalf of the RAP for the 0.31­ acre lot located at 1051 South Grand Avenue, Assessor’s Parcel No. 5139­008­001 (Property), for the development of a public park in the South Park Community of Downtown Los Angeles. 2.  AUTHORIZE and DIRECT the GSD to process a transfer of - October 15, 2024 - Recommendations for Council action: 1.  DIRECT the Department of General Services (GSD), with the assistance of the RAP and the City Attorney, to negotiate a purchase­and­sale agreement on behalf of the RAP for the 0.31­ acre lot located at 1051 South Grand Avenue, Assessor’s Parcel No. 5139­008­001 (Property), for the development of a public park in the South Park Community of Downtown Los Angeles. 2.  AUTHORIZE and DIRECT the GSD to process a transfer of jurisdiction of said Property from the GSD to the RAP, for the development of a public park. 3.  REQUEST the Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners to consider and accept the transfer of jurisdiction of said Property, and dedicate it as a park. 4.  DIRECT the RAP, in coordination with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, to develop an interim management plan for the operation of the parking lot on site while a park project is designed. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the CIty Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report. Community Impact Statement: None submitted.
