(20) 24­1040 CD 5 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a non­monetary donation of stationary and mobile food pantry items for Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) fire stations within Council District Five (CD 5), from the First­In Fire Foundation. Recommendation for Council action: APPROVE the acceptance of a non­monetary donation of stationary and mobile food pantry items, valued at $20,000, for seven LAFD fire stations within CD 5, from the First­In Fire Foundation; and, THANK the donor for this generous donation. Fiscal Impact Statement: The Board of Fire Commissioners reports that there is no fiscal impact on the LAFD’s budget from the acceptance of this donation. Donations provide the necessary items to meet the needs of the respective fire station. Replacement or repair of items meeting City specifications and LAFD business needs may be borne by the General Fund, subject to budgetary constraints. Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
