(53) 24­1373 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ATTORNEY relative to a proposed legal services agreement between the City and Stoel Rives LLP. Recommendations for Council action: 1.  APPROVE the termination of Contract No. C­145724 with Downey 1.  APPROVE the termination of Contract No. C­145724 with Downey Brand LLP for convenience. 2.  AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to execute a contract with Stoel Rives LLP, initially through January 15, 2026, with a not­ to­exceed amount of $500,000, funded out of the Bureau of Sanitation’s Stormwater Pollution Abatement Fund. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the City Attorney. Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report. Community Impact Statement: None submitted (Budget, Finance and Innovation Committee waived consideration of the above matter) The Council may recess to Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Sections 54956.9(d)(2) and (e)(1), to confer with its legal counsel relative to significant exposure to litigation (One Potential Case).
