(45) 23­0131 COMMUNICATION FROM THE L.A. FOR KIDS STEERING COMMITTEE (LAFKSC) relative to authorizing the reopening of the 11th Funding Cycle Request for Proposals (11th Cycle RFP) in order to extend the deadline for proposals in the Acquisition of Parks/Natural Lands competitive category. Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1.  AUTHORIZE the Bureau of Engineering to reopen the 11th Cycle RFP, in order to extend the deadline to December 16, 2024, to provide proposers an opportunity to submit responsive proposals in the Acquisition of Parks/Natural Lands competitive category from provide proposers an opportunity to submit responsive proposals in the Acquisition of Parks/Natural Lands competitive category from the previously advertised $743,734 to a revised amount of $2,611,968. 2.  AUTHORIZE the LAFKSC staff, with assistance from the City Attorney, to make technical modifications to the revised 11th Cycle Attorney, to make technical modifications to the revised 11th Cycle RFP in order to carry out the intent of the LAFKSC report dated November 15, 2024, attached to the Council file. Fiscal Impact Statement: The LAFKSC reports that there is no anticipated impact to the General Fund as these are Special Funds.
