(18) 24-1433 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CAO) relative to a proposed Personal Services Contract with Crown Castle Fiber LLC (Crown Castle Fiber) for the provision of Citywide data communication and network services. Recommendation for Council action: AUTHORIZE the General Manager, Information Technology Agency, or designee, to execute a Personal Services Contract with Crown Castle Fiber for the provision of Citywide data communication and network services with a total expenditure authority up to $24,000,000 and a term effective from the date of execution through June 30, 2025 with an additional three one-year extension options, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form. Fiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that funding for the proposed contract is available in ITA’s Communication Services Account as part of the funding approved for Citywide telecommunications services in the 2024-25 Adopted Budget. There is no additional impact to the General Fund. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommendation contained in the October 28, 2024 CAO report, attached to the Council File, is in compliance with the City’s Financial Policies as contract expenditures are limited to the appropriation of funds made by the City for this purpose.
