(25) 25­0063 RULES, ELECTIONS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to supporting the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) proposed Rules 1111 and 1121 to mandate zero­emission standards for residential and commercial furnaces and water heaters. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Yaroslavsky ­ Harris­Dawson), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: (25) 25­0063 RULES, ELECTIONS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS COMMITTEE REPORT and RESOLUTION relative to supporting the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s (SCAQMD) proposed Rules 1111 and 1121 to mandate zero­emission standards for residential and commercial furnaces and water heaters. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Yaroslavsky ­ Harris­Dawson), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: RESOLVE to: a. Support the SCAQMD’s proposed Rules 1111 and 1121 to mandate zero­emission standards for residential and commercial furnaces and water heaters. b. Actively collaborate with the SCAQMD to promote awareness, provide incentives, and assist residents in transitioning to zero­ emission technologies. Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
