(45)\n25-0513\nCD 15\nCOMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ENGINEER and ORDINANCE\nFIRST CONSIDERATION relative to changing the name of Juniper\nStreet, from 102nd Street to 103rd Street, to Old Juniper Street.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. FIND that the name change and establishment is exempt from\nthe California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, pursuant to\nArticle III, Class 5 of the City’s Environmental Guidelines.\n2. FIND that the name of Juniper Street from 102nd Street to\n103rd Street, shown on Exhibit A of the City Engineer report\ndated May 7, 2025, attached to the Council file, be changed and\nestablished as Old Juniper Street.\n3. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE, dated\nMay 1, 2025, authorizing and providing for the change in name\nof a public street.\n4. INSTRUCT the City Clerk to transmit:\na. A copy of Ordinance upon publication to the Board of\nSupervisors of the County of Los Angeles pursuant to\nSection 34092 of the Government Code.\nb. A copy of the Council’s action on this matter to the\nDepartment of Transportation, City-wide Investigation\nSection, 100 South Main Street.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Engineer reports that the Bureau of\nEngineering is absorbing the cost of processing the request in the\napproximate amount of $5,000.
