City of Los Angeles et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Case\nNo. 20STCP03490.\nRecommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\nAPPROVE the payment of attorneys’ fees in the amount of\n$212,025.15 plus applicable interest by doing the following:\na. Authorize payment of the Court-ordered attorneys’ fees in the\ntotal amount of $212,025.15 plus applicable interest from the\nLiability Claims Fund No. 100/59, Account No. 009798 –\nMiscellaneous Liability Payouts. The demand drawn on said\nfund shall be paid as follows: Channel Law Group LLP.\nb. Authorize the City Attorney to deliver the warrants payable to\nChannel Law Group LLP, contemporaneous with receipt of a\nNotice of Satisfaction of the attorneys’ fee awarded against the\nCity.\nc. Authorize the City Attorney to make necessary technical\nadjustments, subject to approval of the City Administrative\nOfficer, and that the Controller be authorized to implement the\ninstructions.\nFiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the City Attorney. Neither\nthe Chief Legislative Analyst nor the City Administrative Officer has\ncompleted a financial analysis of this report.
