(11)\n24-1132\nPUBLIC SAFETY and BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEES’\nREPORT relative to the acceptance of the California Governor's Office\nof Emergency Services (Cal OES) Regional Urban Search and Rescue\n(US&R) Response Training Agreement.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. ACCEPT the Standard Agreement in the amount of\n$169,950 for the performance period of January 1, 2024\nthrough June 30, 2025, as granted by the Cal OES; and,\nAUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, Los Angeles Fire Department\n(LAFD), or designee, to execute any documents or agreements\nnecessary to accept the Agreement on the City's behalf.\n2. AUTHORIZE the LAFD to deposit the Standard Agreement\nfunds received into Fund No. 335/38, Account to be determined.\n3. AUTHORIZE the LAFD to expend funds up to $169,950 from\nLAFD General Fund No. 100/38, Account 6020 Operating\nExpense, for consumables, travel expenses and student\ncertification fees, in accordance with the Cal OES US&R\nTraining, for the performance period granted by the Cal OES;\nand, AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, LAFD, or designee, to execute\nany documents necessary to accept the award on the City's\nbehalf.\n4. AUTHORIZE the Controller, for reimbursement purposes, to\ntransfer the Standard Agreement funds from Fund No. 335/38,\nAccount to be determined, to Fund No. 100/38 salary accounts:\nAccount No. 001012 (Salaries Sworn), and Account No. 001098\n(Variable Staffing), upon submission of proper documentation\nby the LAFD of direct staff costs incurred during the Agreement\nperformance period.\n5. AUTHORIZE the LAFD to prepare Controller instructions for any\ntechnical adjustments, subject to approval of the City\nAdministrative Officer (CAO); and, AUTHORIZE the Controller\nto implement the instructions.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that approval of the\nrecommendations in the report will allow for the acceptance of\n$169,950 in US&R staff training funding through an Agreement with\nthe Cal OES. Funding from the Cal OES will be provided on a\nreimbursement basis with front-funding provided by the LAFD. There\nis no fiscal impact to the General Fund.\nFinancial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the\nrecommendations provided in the report are in compliance with the\nCity’s Financial Policies, in that all Agreement funding will be utilized\nfor its intended purposes.
