CONSIDER APPROVAL OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES AND AUTHORIZATION TO\nADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION BIDS; AND RECORDING A “NOTICE OF EXEMPTION” IN THE OFFICE\nOF LOS ANGELES COUNTY CLERK AND WITH THE STATE CLEARING HOUSE FOR PROJECT NO. 1784:\nTRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION (CENTRAL AVENUE & UNIVERSITY DRIVE), PURSUANT TO SECTION\n15301 OF THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT GUIDELINES (CITY COUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. APPROVE PS&E for Project No. 1784: Traffic Signal Modification for Central Avenue and\nUniversity Drive.\n— 2. AUTHORIZE staff to advertise the work and call for construction bids for Project No. 1784:\nTraffic Signal Modification for Central Avenue and University Drive.\n— 3. MAKE the California Environmental Quality Act finding that the proposed Project No. 1784:\nTraffic Signal Modification for Central Avenue and University Drive is exempt pursuant to\nSection 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act guidelines.\n— 4. AUTHORIZE staff to record the “Notice of Exemption” in the office of the Los Angeles\nCounty Clerk and with the State Clearing House at the Governor’s Office of Planning and\nResearch for Project No. 1784: Traffic Signal Modification for Central Avenue and University\nDrive.
