9.\nRESOLUTION TO CAST VOTE FOR REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE BOARD OF THE\nSAN GABRIEL BASIN WATER QUALITY AUTHORITY (WQA) – F2M12-46, R2M25-41\nThe election of the city member and alternate of the Board of the WQA from cities with\npumping rights will take place at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of the\nAuthority set for December 17, 2025. The City of Alhambra is one of the cities in the San\nGabriel Basin with prescriptive water pumping rights, entitled to nominate and vote for a\ncity member and alternate representing cities with pumping rights. At the October 13, 2025\nCouncil meeting, the City Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. R2M25-37\nentitled: A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Alhambra, California nominating\nCouncilmember Jeffrey K. Maloney to represent cities with prescriptive water pumping\nrights on the Board of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority. By letter dated\nOctober 20, 2025, the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority confirmed Jeffrey K.\nMaloney as an official nominee for the office of city member of the Board of the San Gabriel\nBasin Water Quality Authority and provided the list of other nominees and a ballot, along\nwith instructions on voting procedure. The City of Alhambra must cast its 8 vote(s) for only\none of the official nominees provided by the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority\nand must cast its vote(s) by resolution of the City Council. The resolution of the City of\nAlhambra City Council casting its vote(s) must be received by the San Gabriel Basin Water\nQuality Authority no later than December 16, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council Adopt Resolution No. R2M25-41 entitled: A\nResolution of the City Council of the City of Alhambra, California, casting its vote(s) for\nCouncilmember Jeffrey K. Maloney to represent cities with prescriptive pumping rights on\nthe Board of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority
