C.\nAdoption of Ordinance No. 1975 (Second Reading),\nAdoption of the 2025 Edition of the California Building\nStandards Code and Corresponding Base Model Codes\n25-0616\nConduct a second reading by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 1975, an\nordinance of the City of Fontana adding, amending and deleting certain\narticles, sections and subsections of Chapter 5 of the Code of the City of\nFontana, California pertaining to the construction and maintenance of\nbuildings, and the 2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code,\nknown as the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, consisting of the\nCalifornia Building Code, Volumes 1 & 2, based on the 2024 International\nBuilding Code; the California Plumbing Code, based on the 2024 Uniform\nPlumbing Code; the California Electrical Code, based on the 2023 National\nElectrical Code; the California Mechanical Code, based on the 2024 Uniform\nMechanical Code; the California Wildland-Urban Interface Code based on\nthe 2024 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code; the California Existing\nBuilding Code, based on the 2024 International Existing Building Code; the\nCalifornia Green Building Standards Code; the California Residential Code,\nbased on the 2025 International Residential Code; and the 2025 Edition of\nthe International Property Maintenance Code.
