6G. MUNICIPAL FACILITY LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH CROWN CASTLE FIBER LLC\nCrown Castle, LLC is planning to remove a City owned streetlight on Beach Boulevard\nand install a new streetlight with a cellular antenna to be in compliance with the Federal\nCommunication Commission (FCC) Declaration to support the deployment of 5G and\nother next-generation wireless services. Streetlights are owned, operated, and\nmaintained by the City. This agreement establishes provisions regarding ownership of\nthe equipment, maintenance, and responsibilities between the City and Crown Castle,\nLLC for the streetlight and equipment installed.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this item is not subject to the California Environmental\nQuality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(5) (Organizational or\nadministrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect\nphysical changes in the environment); and\n2. Approve the Municipal Facility License Agreement with Crown Castle Fiber, LLC and\nauthorize the City Manager to execute said Agreement.\nApril 11, 2023
