AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT NO. 25-09 TO SOUTHWEST\nPIPELINE AND TRENCHLESS CORPORATION FOR THE SAN GABRIEL\nBOULEVARD SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF\n$779,305 PLUS A 10% CONTINGENCY\nThe proposed project will rehabilitate the existing sewer line on San Gabriel\nBoulevard from Angeleno Avenue to Marshall Street utilizing trenchless curedin-place-pipe sewer lining technology. Southwest Pipeline & Trenchless\nCorporation submitted the lowest responsive bid for the San Gabriel Boulevard\nSewer Rehabilitation Project, totaling $779,305, plus a 10% contingency.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: This project is\ndetermined to be Categorical Exempt per CEQA Section 15301 – the project\nconsists of minor alterations to existing public right of way facilities. No\nsignificant environmental impacts are anticipated for this project.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Approve plans and specifications for the San Gabriel Boulevard Sewer\nRehabilitation Project (CIP 4-12-05);\n2. Award the contract to Southwest Pipeline & Trenchless Corporation;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute Construction Contract No. 25-09;\nand\n4. Approve a purchase order in the amount of $857,235.50 which includes a\n10% construction contingency.
