The proposed amendment introduces a third calculation\nmethod, providing employees in out-of-class assignments with three\nalternative methods to ensure fair compensation.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council waive full\nreading and adopt Ordinance No. 1284, an amendment to Municipal Code\nSection 2.64.090 authorizing the City Manager, at his discretion, to approve\na salary increase in excess of five percent (5%) and up to a maximum of\nten percent (10%) of an employee’s base salary, when such adjustments\nare in the best interest of the City and consistent with budgetary\nappropriations.
